How it works

Three stages. One team. No surprises.

Design, build and aftercare work closely together — but you can enter at whichever stage you need. Here is how a Surrey Landscapers project actually runs, and roughly how long each part takes.

01

Typically 1–4 weeks

Design & consultation

We come out, walk the plot with you and listen to how you actually live in the garden — the sun, the slope, the drainage, the views you want to keep or lose. Then, drawing on certified RHS judgement for the planting and 45 years for the build, we put a clear design and a no-obligation quote to it. As one client put it, Chris keeps you updated and gives you real options to decide between, rather than a single take-it-or-leave-it plan.

  • Free site visit & survey
  • Design options, not one fixed plan
  • Clear, itemised, no-obligation quote

02

A day or two to several weeks

Build

One crew carries the construction from groundwork and levels through hard landscaping, paving, structures, turfing and planting — so nothing is lost between trades. We work tidy and explain each step in advance. Simple jobs are done in a day or two; a full transformation runs over several weeks, and one steep-garden project ran to twelve. Whatever the length, the site stays orderly the whole way through.

  • One team, start to finish
  • Each step explained in advance
  • Site kept tidy throughout

03

Seasonal, ongoing — your choice

Aftercare

A new garden is an investment, and it reaches its best with care. Once the build is done we can keep it right — seasonal maintenance, lawn care and attention to the planting as it establishes — so the garden goes on developing, flourishing and maturing through the seasons rather than drifting back to where it started. Take it as a one-off seasonal check-up, or as regular year-round care.

  • Protects the investment you’ve made
  • Seasonal check-up or year-round care
  • The same people who built it, caring for it

Protecting your investment

A garden is built once and lives for decades. Aftercare is simply how it goes on developing, flourishing and maturing through the seasons — rather than slowly drifting back.
